BOSO-BOSO CHURCH

History

Picture
" The Church of Boso-Boso was built by the Jesuit Priests on 1700 under the Patron of Nuestra Senora de la Anunciata and the administration of the church was transfered to the local priests on 1768.  Part of it was destroyed by an earthquake on July 18, 1880.  The Church was abandoned on 1930 when the town was transfered because of an order.  The people of Boso-Boso came back after the order was not implemented.  Then on 1943, the church was destroyed because of fire but it was restored on 1995 by the good devotees. The way to Boso-Boso church is far, it is located at the upper part of Antipolo. On our way, there were so many trees and the temperature is low which gives a slightly cold temperature . When we first saw the church, I was really captivated, our first impression is the church is really old because of its old strucutre appearance and there were no paints in the wall, you will really feel that you go back to the old times; but the surroundings comprises fresh air and the beautiful green plants. The church is small that also contains small windows and doors compared to the other churches. Although the church looks old, it looks really beautiful because it's structure was really preserved even if it was built in early times.
